Windscreens – check for any minor chips or cracks and have them filled as a heavy frost can lead to major cracks. Also make sure your windscreen wipers are free of cracks in the rubber and that your windscreen washer fluid is kept filled up.
Tyres – the condition of your tyres can be crucial in icy driving conditions. Make sure that your tyres are in excellent condition and the threads are not worn.
Lights – Make sure that both your front and rear lights are all working and always use you lights when driving in winter.
Be prepared – When traveling in cold weather always have a blanket, torch, extra water and snacks and ask yourself before you go if you really need to make the journey at all.
